FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
  • What is the corporate goal of Adi3tek®?
Our corporate goal is to produce and distribute state of the art products to improve and increase the consumption of raw materials, fossil fuels and alternative fuels with high sulfur content, as well as improving the performance of the combustion processes in the cement industry, power generation industry, and processing power overall.
  • Where can Adi3tek® be used?
Adi3tek® has been specifically developed to significantly reduce build-up in high pressure steam generators, pre-heaters, pre-calciners and to avoid ring formation in cement kilns.
  • How does Adi3tek® work?
Adi3tek® counteracts and effectively redirects reactions catalyzed by elements in the fuel used to form alkali compounds of higher melting point which easily disintegrate from equipment walls, significantly improving their performance and transfer thermal.
In addition to the chemical inhibitor Adi3tek®, the company distributes an exclusive line of European cement grinding additives developed specifically to increase initial and final strength.
  • Where does Adi3tek® operate?
Adi3tek® is the parent company of both Aditivos y Energeticos, SA de CV located in Monterrey, Mexico and T & S Building Materials, LLC in Houston, Texas. The company operates as a research and development company and is present in the following countries: U.S.A, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Spain. The company was founded in 1981 and its headquarters and production plant are located in Monterrey, NL Mexico.
  • What is the general mechanism of crust/build-up formation and ring formation in the cement manufacturing equipment?
The combination of alkali oxides, normally present in the raw materials and the presence of sulfur in various types of fuel, produce a number of compounds with different melting points that solidify on the equipment walls in the form of a sticky material known as thermoplastic build-up.
  • Why is it important to inject a highly reactive and homogenous mixture of Adi3tek® in the combustion chamber of the calcining line?
Regardless of the particle size of the particular fossil fuel Adi3tek® chemical inhibitor should be fully incorporated into the fuel to ensure a complete molecular reaction in the combustion chamber.
  • What is the composition of the chemical inhibitor Adi3tek® ?
El inhibidor químico Adi3tek® is a chemical inhibitor comprised of a proprietary blend of surfactants, dispersants and stabilizers as well as polymerization inhibitors and fuel catalysts.
  • Is the chemical inhibitor Adi3tek® considered a hazardous material?
Adi3tek® ® is not a hazardous material. In fact, it is a Non-Regulated chemical (CAS/UN), Non-Toxic, Non-flammable, Non-explosive, non-reactive (at temperatures <600 ° C) and does not contain any carcinogenic or pathological agents.
  • What are some of the benefits seen in the power generation industry using high pressure steam boilers with our Adi3tek® additive?
Increased pH of ash and increased steam production.
Reduced fossil fuel consumption and eliminating the problem of acid rain.
Longer equipment life.
Significantly reduce maintenance and cleaning cycle for steam boilers.
Inhibits corrosion in high temperature zones and makes deposit materials softerto the point that they can be easily detached with water.
Prevents acid corrosion by blocking the formation of sulfuric acid in low temperature areas of the boiler.
Homogenizes the fuel, thus preventing the formation of sludge or sediments in storage tanks.
Keeps the lines, fuel filters and pumps clean without crust/build-up.
Decreases fuel viscosity and surface tension thus improving the burner efficiency and the performance of the boiler.
Decreases the consumption of excess air, fuel, COxNOxSOx emissions, soot and prevents the formation of acid smoke.
  • What do I need to do in order to try the product?
You only need to contact one of our process engineers by calling our toll free number 855-595-5662 in the U.S. or Canada.
In Mexico you can call (52) 81-8336-7009 or 7012
  • What is the recommended test period?
We usually recommend a trial period of 30 days in order to observe the performance of the calcining line and define the benefits.
  • What type of assistance is provided during the trial period?
Technical assistance is provided before, during and after the trial period as well as tanks and pumps for dosing the inhibitor at no charge to the customer.
The additive will be provided FOB at your plant with net payment due in 30 days.
